The "Cuevas al Infinito" series (Caves to Infinity) is an ongoing exploration using cross sections of underground landscapes. Within the cave we find passageways that take us into chambers that resemble stomachs, hearts, kidneys or lungs. Some of these chambers contain water, which is the source of all life, while others become floor plans to underground dwellings. Other tunnels take us deep into the earth where the unknown sleeps waiting for us to awaken and explore its infinite knowledge.

By using the land as metaphor for the body, one turns to the exploration of the self. What dormant knowledge lies deep within the subconscious or within our own DNA? Whether biological or metaphysical the mystery within our selves is a question that has persisted in mankind for thousands of years and is far from being answered.
